The Lattice · Privacy

What stays with you. Everything.

The Lattice runs entirely in your browser. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and sets no cookies. Nothing you do inside it — the handshakes you add, the phantoms you burn, the track you leave playing — is transmitted to us, because there is no "us" server to transmit to.

01What is stored on your device

The Lattice uses your browser's local storage for preferences and for what you create. These keys exist only on your device, and you can erase them at any time by clearing site data in your browser:

KeyHolds
lattice_welcome_seenthat you dismissed the welcome card
lattice_kbd_seenthat you saw the keyboard hint strip
lattice_playerplayer preferences — volume, shuffle, repeat, last track
lattice_custom_hshandshakes you add (at most 20)
lattice_burnedphantom handshakes you burn into the lattice

A service worker also caches the app shell and, after first play, the audio tracks — this is what lets The Lattice work offline. The cache lives in your browser and clears with site data like everything else.

02What our host sees

The Lattice is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data (such as IP address and user agent) to deliver files and protect its network, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not receive, store, or analyze those logs.

03Third-party requests

The site loads two typefaces — Fraunces and JetBrains Mono — from Google Fonts. Your browser requests those font files from Google's servers, which means Google receives the request metadata (such as your IP address), per Google's privacy policy. There are no other third-party requests: no trackers, no embeds, no CDNs for scripts — the animation and rendering engines are served from this site itself.

04What we never do

05Changes

If the lattice ever changes how it treats your data, this page will say so plainly, with a new date below. The commitment above — local-first, nothing transmitted — is structural, not incidental: the application is a single file with no backend.
