The Lattice
Every handshake, past · present · future.
The Lattice is a free, interactive visualization of human contact. It holds
more than 1,600 handshakes — greetings, alliances, intimacies, exchanges,
creations, machine protocols, farewells, and crossings — spanning 2000 BCE to
2200 CE, rendered as a living sphere and six further lenses, set to a
86-track melody library tuned to 432 Hz.
Eight chambers: Sphere (a globe where latitude is time),
Chord (ribbons between domains), River
(a stream of centuries), Rhyme (patterns that repeat across
eras), Song (an audio-reactive body), Undefined
(handshakes that never happened), Index (every record,
searchable), and Brass (a transform chamber that bends the
melody through a marching-band chain).
The Lattice needs JavaScript and an HTML5-Canvas browser to move.
